What are spendable and non-spendable Bettys?
Betty's are the type of currency that is used on YouBetMyLife.com. Spendable Bettys can be used to buy gifts from the Gift Shop, while Non-spendable Bettys cannot.
How are unspendable and spendable Betty's used differently when placing wagers?
You cannot choose which type of Betty you wager on any bet. Personal Bets and Bets on someone's friends or family use Non-spendable Bettys because the outcomes cannot be verified. Bets made about celebrities and known events use spendable Bettys because verification can be obtained if there is any controversy. Bets that use Non-spendable Bettys will have the following disclaimer below the dark blue box where wagers are placed:
"NOTE: Bettys wagered on personal stories will not be credited or debited to your Spendable Bettys account because results on personal stories cannot be verified. However, Bettys wagered, lost, and won will count toward your overall wagering statistics."
What happens when you run out of Bettys? (all tied up in wagers) or (lost all)
You may not be totally out of luck yet... You can contact us and tell us why you are out of Bettys and why you deserve more. If your story resonates with the YBML staff you may be awarded a free 5,000 Bettys to keep playing. No guarantees.
How do I enter the outcome of my Bet?
To enter the result of the Bet you created you must first login. Then go to the Bet itself that you want to complete and look for the green box at the bottom of the page. There you can enter the result. Surveys/Polls cannot be manually completed since they will complete themselves automatically on the Bet ending date based on the wagering results. Results must be entered within 7 days of the Bet ending date or all wagers will be refunded
