| Sea ice in the Arctic Ocean is quickly dissipating due to global warming. According to The National Snow and Ice Data Center, sea ice in the Arctic now covers about 2.03 million square miles. 2007 marked a record low point since satellite measurements started in 1979 at 1.65 million square miles. There are a few weeks left in this year's Arctic summer. Will this year break 2007's previous record? |
