| According to a new federal science report, short-term pollutants, like soot, smog, and other particles derived from burning wood and kerosene, in Beijing will raise summer temperatures in middle America by about three degrees and decrease yearly rainfall by about an inch in the same region by 2060. Scientists are paying attention to global warming pollution and are doing what they can to address it, but this information is calling for a greater effort for faster results. Will areas like Beijing fix their pollution quick enough to prevent higher temperatures and lower rainfall in America? |
