| Cleveland Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards and Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps both went to the University of Michigan. Apparently, the friends made a light-hearted bet before Phelps left for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Edwards bet that he would score twice as many touchdowns in 2008 as Phelps won gold medals in China. Phelps won eight golds in Beijing, which means Edwards would need at least 16 touchdowns. If he succeeds, Edwards would set a Cleveland team record. Neither athlete would say what the winner will earn for the bet.
Do you think Braylon Edwards will win the bet and catch at least 16 touchdown passes this season? |
