Nintendo Wii: patent infringement
Since its debut in 2006, Nintendo's Wii console has sold about 30 million worldwide. Once only used by experienced Nintendo gamers, today the Wii console is being used by more novice users like women and the elderly. One of the things that makes the gaming console so great it its wand-like remote controller, commonly referred to as the "Wiimote". But did Nintendo originate the concept? Hillcrest Laboratories claims Nintendo is in danger of patent infringement on handheld three-dimensional pointing devices and a display interface system for organizing graphic content on TV. Hillcrest has filed this complain with the U.S. International Trade Commission. Will Hillcrest Laboratories win in their lawsuit against Nintendo?
